I think I’ve finally gotten the hang of Julep. The first couple months I completely forgot that I could swap beauty profiles, add on items, and cancel or send my box to a friend. It made me bitter, and I was sure I was going to cancel.
A couple weeks ago I raved about Julep’s TaDa! Quick Dry drops, and truly, they are pretty amazing. But then I thought to myself, How do these really stack up to my favorite quick dry top coat, Seche Vite? Continue reading →
It’s been a couple months since I’ve done a Birchbox post, and to be honest, my December box just sat untouched on my dresser until, literally, 2 days ago. As I mentioned before, I was just too busy with holiday stuff to bother, but now that things are calming down a bit, I’m excited to share my January box with all of you.
I’m really in awe of all of you who kept things up and running during the holidays. With all the wrapping, eating, and card playing, not to mention the serious lack of daytime lighting for pictures, I really couldn’t be bothered to post during the last month. But I’m back, and I’m really excited about this post!
The great thing about gardening is that all you really need are some seeds and a shovel. Alternately, that makes buying gifts for gardeners trying at times. I’ve put together a few things that I think any gardener would be happy to see under the Christmas tree.
We all know that person who would rather be in the kitchen than anywhere else, and in my family, that’s usually me. I’ve gathered a few bits and pieces that I thought might be a bit unique, that could surprise the seasoned chef (heh heh) and the newbie.
There’s nothing more irritating than spending hours of time and hordes of mental energy trying to find the perfect man-gift, only to find it sitting, unused, in the hall closet that we only open when we need Scotch tape. This year I’m trying to take a different approach, and I feel like I’ve chosen a nice selection of products that are beautiful (or soft, or smell amazing), while still being completely functional.
Despite getting a head start on my Christmas shopping this year, there are still a few people I’ve struggled to find gifts for. Boys, mostly, because you know, boys are hard. Anyway, I thought I’d do a series of gift-guide posts for the person (or persons) in your life who are consistently hard to shop for. First up: The Beauty Junkie.
I’ve been in Holiday mode, 100%. I’ve gotten a jump on my Christmas shopping, so I’ll be sitting pretty while everybody else is fighting throngs of miserable people and screaming kids at the mall come December. So I’ve been on the eagerly awaiting the mail every day for a week, but I completely forgot that I should be expecting a Birchbox as well. Bonus, as I was starting to get jealous of all the cool stuff that was coming for everybody else haha.
